Learn to surf in Hermosa Beach, one of the finest beaches in the South Bay area!
Nestled between Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach has great waves, lively events, and a delicious food scene.
This classic surf town’s culture, events, and schedule revolve around catching waves. Festivities occur almost daily in the summer months and include surf festivals, the Surfer’s Walk of Fame, pro beach volleyball competitions, and other exciting concerts. This town additionally is great for biking, rollerblading, and walking as the 22-mile Marvin Braude Bike trail (a.k.a The Strand) runs along the beach and creates a great boardwalk area.
Meet us at Hermosa Pier
The Hermosa Pier is a perfect area for beginners to learn to surf. One of L.A.’s best beaches, it is flat, wide and sandy which makes it an awesome place to get comfortable catching waves. It usually has small, mellow waves, but it can get chest-high to double overhead in the right conditions. Hermosa Beach provides consistent whitewater for those just learning to stand on the board.
Bathrooms, parking lots and volleyball courts also make this a great beach for events and families.
Let’s catch waves! Our instructors will meet you at Hermosa Beach Pier with all the gear.
